About Us

Hi, I'm Craig, a man with a shed full of wood that will come in handy one day and, of course, owner of Rustic Wood Creations. Originally from Manchester but now living in York, I set Rustic Wood Creations up in 2016 after years of hoarding driftwood, pallet wood, logs and any other wood which I could squeeze in my 6x4 with the idea of using it one day.

It started off as a hobby, creating driftwood tealight holders, hand painted wooden signs and small pieces of décor, given as gifts to family members and friends for birthdays, Christmas etc. With lots of positive feedback, I decided to brave it and sell my creations at a local craft fair in Manchester. I remember it well, not many people turned up and if it wasn't for family and friends turning up to buy (or feel sorry for me) then I would have probably quit there and then! But I carried on. I packed up what stock I had left, which was most of it, and I went on to create bigger and better products. I booked more craft fairs, selling more at each one and even travelling further afield.

Many years on, I still have a shed, sorry, two sheds full of wood, plenty of tools and now, an online shop! I am constantly working on new projects, creating lots of new and exciting rustic home décor, gifts and furniture using reclaimed and recycled materials.
